Dingeman Kuilman (1961) is director of Stedelijk Museum Breda. This newly formed institution focuses on contemporary art, heritage and history from a regional perspective.

Dingeman studied graphic design at the Gerrit Rietveld Academie. After a career as graphic designer, in close collaboration with the renowned art director Anthon Beeke and visual artist Niels Shoe Meulman, he moved to the position of global account manager at Philips Design. He pursued his career as strategy director at FHV/BBDO, a leading marketing and advertising agency in The Netherlands.

In 2003 he was appointed as managing director of Premsela, the Netherlands institute for design and fashion. At Premsela he was responsible for a guiding research program on the economic impact of design. He also took the initiative for a collaborative program to strengthen and consolidate the international position of the most prominent sectors of the Dutch creative industries. In 2010 he became the chairman of the board of ArtEZ Insitute of the Arts.

Dingeman has been a member of several government committees. He is the chairman of the Sikkens Foundation and orkest de ereprijs. He made many contributions to publications about design, branding, visual arts and education. In 2014 his selected poetry was published by Prometheus Publishers under the title Wrakgenoten (‘Wreckmates’).

Dingeman lives in Arnhem, The Netherlands. He is married and has two sons.
